Third Culture Kid (missionary parents). I went to high school in India, college + in Minnesota, grad school + in Washington, DC; returned to Minnesota in 2009. I got my MA in International Communication at the School of International Service at American University. I work at the Center for Victims of Torture, which I wish didn't have to exist, but since it does... I'm honored to be able to help with its mission.
I spend a lot of time working, with my husband (azure_armand), and with other folks around town. Things I tend to do include dancing, sewing, missing my family & friends, taking care of my cats, cooking, traveling... I have worked as a technical writer/editor for about five years, with a year-and-a-half long stint working as a publicist at Llewellyn publishing, and several years helping to run a teaching center at AU. It is probably accurate to call me a generalist.
I always seem to be picking up new hobbies, and am not necessarily that good at any of them.
